Faro Punta Delgada
This very special hotel lies on the far south-east point of the Valdés Peninsula in the middle of the dry Patagonian landscape. It was originally built as a lighthouse for the Argentine Navy. Today it is a simple but pleasant hotel. It is reached in a three hours drive over dirt road from Puerto Madryn. The hotel is built on a cliff far above the sea. Down at the beach there is a huge colony of Elephant-Seals, which is the main attraction in Punta Delgada. There is no reception but a sitting room and a comfortable restaurant. The rooms are small and cozy.
