The Brazilian side of the park offers you an overwhelming view on the huge waterfalls of 2,700m wide and 274 cascades.
You have the view of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world in a half circle just in front of your eyes. You will never forget this unique sight, this nature act of water, sky and subtropical vegetation. Iguazú means “Big Water” in Guaraní, a deserved name.
A foot walk of only one kilometre over a good forest path brings you to the foot of the falls. You will feel little, standing one meter beside this impressive waterfalls. You will have enough time to enjoy the falls, to take pictures, and walk along the different footbridges.
On the way, you will find some small shops, selling sandwiches, films, and souvenirs. Funny coaties, a kind of nose-bear, running and playing along the paths in the wood and parrots trying to shout louder than the noise of the waterfalls.
At the end of the path, you will find a balcony that is so near the falls that you can get completely wet, if you don't wear a plastic tippet. Even with this, the fine water drops will reach your skin, for many people a very welcome and refreshing shower. |
