The surroundings of Bariloche are called the Lake District. On this interesting full day tour, you get to know this manifold region. After crossing the city of Bariloche, the bus drives along the eastern shore of the Nahuel Huapi lake. Heading towards northwest, you approach the Andean mountain chain. This part of the trip opens spectacular views on the snowy peaks and the shore of the lake. In the small resort Villa La Angostura, the bus makes a short break. This exclusive village lives from national and international tourism, due to its extraordinary location on a peninsula. On the short stopover, you will be able to enjoy this beautiful spot. You will have lunch near Villa La Angostura. The journey continues through untouched nature, magnificent woods, small mountain lakes, and green meadows. The paved road ends soon and the bus continues on small, unpaved roads. Again, you will have incredible views over the landscape and the Andean chain. The trip continues towards east. After a short while, we will drive along the deep blue lake Traful with flamboyant white, sandy beaches. This lake is also highly appreciated by anglers. Later, the landscape turns increasingly arid. An impressive view point, a kind of balcony on a 70m high rock face, opens you new breathtaking views over the lake and the neighbouring Andean mountains. Towards east, you will be able to recognize bizarre rock formations in the East-Patagonian steppe. The way back, on the main street, crosses the beautiful Limay valley. At about 6 PM, you arrive in Bariloche. |
