Monumental Glaciers and Mountains

Day 01

El Calafate

Welcome at the airport and private transfer with local bilingual guide to the car rental company. Pick up of the car. Our guide gives a briefing of the area and hands in detailed road descriptions and maps. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at El Calafate.
Day 02

Torres del Paine

Drive through the vast Patagonian steppe to the Chilean border at Cancha Carrera / Cerro Castillo. After border formalities, the drive continues over the unpaved road of the Torres del Paine National Park. Soon you will see the mountain peaks of this famous park. Overnight at the National Park.
Day 03

Torres del Paine

This beautiful national park protects a fantastic scenery full of lakes and sharp mountain peaks. Unesco considers it a heritage of humanity. The road leads you through the park. The end of the road is at Lago Grey, a lake with huge icebergs and a fantastic scenery. The rough climate, however, is frequently changing. So, feel lucky if  there is sunshine when you see this breathtaking scenery. Overnight at the National Park.
Day 04

Torres del Paine

Enjoy another day at the National Park. It is a paradise for hikers. Many different trekking tracks will show you hidden places of this fantastic world. Overnight at the National Park
Day 05

El Calafate

Drive  back to the border crossing at Cerro Castillo / Cancha Carrera. After the border formalities you continue your way back to El Calafate. The enormous distances of this wild Patagonian landscape are impressive. Once in a while you will see some Guanacos, a Patagonian kind of Lamas, or a gaucho (Patagonian cowboy) on his horse. Overnight at El Calafate
Day 06

Perito Moreno Glacier
El Calafate

We recommend visiting the Glacier Perito Moreno. This is another big highlight of the South. It lies 80km from the village. On the drive you will experience the change of landscape from the dry Patagonian steppe into the humid climate between the mountains. Some people say that the Perito Moreno is the most beautiful glacier on earth. Have a look and experience it by yourself. It is certainly an unforgettable spectacle. Overnight at El Calafate.
Day 07

Punta Banderas
Upsala Glacier
El Calafate

Another day at El Calafate. We suggerst taking the boat at Punta Banderas and navigating to the largest glacier in the area, the Upsala. Even the way to this enormous piece of ice is amazing. You will pass by huge icebergs and if the weather condition is good, you will enjoy a spectacular mountain scenery. Overnight at El Calafate.
Day 08

El Calafate

Drop-off your car and continue your individual programme.
