Day 01

Buenos Aires

Transfer from Ezeiza International Airport to the centre of town and check-in at hotel. In the afternoon, city tour of Buenos Aires. Visit to the historical centre of town at Plaza de Mayo, proceed to the old harbour with its colorful houses of La Boca, see the wide avenues, lush green parks and artificial lakes of Palermo and eventually visit the famous monumental cemetery of La Recoleta. Overnight at Buenos Aires.
Day 02

Buenos Aires

Day at leisure. Buenos Aires is a very European city and invites to walk around. There are many small and hidden places where you can walk and watch the lively atmosphere of this metropolis. If an optional excursion is required, the local guide will be able to assist. The options are either a half-day excursion to the Parana River Delta Tigre or a visit to the famous Argentine estancias (incl. BBQ lunch). In the evening, there is an invitation to a tango show at the famous Tango Bar “Viejo Almacen”. Overnight at Buenos Aires.
Day 03

Buenos Aires
Ushuaia

Transfer to the domestic airport and flight to Ushuaia. In the afternoon, enjoyable boat ride through the bay of Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel. The lighthouse island, the sea lion island and the bird island can be seen. The catamaran gets very close to the island in order to have a perfect observation of the animals. Overnight at Ushuaia.
Day 04

Ushuaia
El Calafate

In the morning, visit to the Tierra del Fuego National park. This piece of land protects a vast variety of coastal fauna and flora. It is also a paradise for birds. During the tour there is a possibility to explore some tracks through the forest on foot. The park ends at Lapataia Bay which is also the end of the famous Pan-American Highway. In the afternoon transfer to the airport and flight to El Calafate. Time at leisure. Overnight at El Calafate.

Perito Moreno glacier
El Calafate

One of the highlights on a trip to Patagonia is certainly the visit to the famous glacier Perito Moreno. It lies about 80km from El Calafate. A ride through typical Patagonian steppe till reaching the mountains. Here the climate changes frequently and there can be rain or even snow. Nevertheless, the experience of the glacier is the same. The deep blue color is amazing. Big pieces of ice constantly fall into the lake and keep you eyes spellbound. Overnight at El Calafate.
Day 06

El Calafate
El Chalten

Through the vast Patagonian steppe travel up north over the famous Ruta 40. At La Leona, a small petrified forest can be visited. Then the trip to El Chaltén continues. A spectacular mountain scenery opens up in front during the journey. High snow and ice caped mountain peaks rise to the sky and stand in sharp contrast to the brown Patagonian steppe. In the afternoon, there is the possibility of an easy trekking tour. Overnight at El Chaltén.
Day 07

El Chaltén

El Chaltén is the uncrowned capital of trekking in Argentina , in one of the most beautiful natural paradises of South America. Today it is enjoyed by choosing among the various trails. There are breathtaking views of the Fitz Roy mountain. If walking is not desired, a visit to the Laguna del Desierto, which lies about 40km from the village, is strongly recommended. Overnight at El Chaltén.
Day 08

El Chalten
El Calafate
Trelew
Puerto Madryn

Ride to the airport at El Calafate and evening flight to Trelew. After arrival, transfer to Puerto Madryn, a nice sea port village at the shore of Golfo Nuevo. Overnight at Puerto Madryn.
Day 09

Puerto Madryn
Punta Delgada

Excursion to the Península Valdés. Only a narrow strip of land connects this unique animal reserve with the continent. At Puerto Pirámides there is a possibility to go for an optional boat voyage. Between June and December, whale watching tours are organized. Between January and March, sea lions can be seen. Continuation to Punta Delgada, where huge sea elephant seals can be observed at the beach. Overnight at the small but unique Hotel Faro Punta Delgada.
Day 10

Punta Delgada
Trelew
Buenos Aires

Ride along the east cost of the Península Valdés. Visit to the estancia San Lorenzo that is on the northeast coast. San Lorenzo is home of a small but unique Penguin colony. Spanish scientists are doing research of these animals. While exploring around, you can observe these curious little water birds. In the afternoon, ride back to the mainland and to Trelew. Evening flight to Buenos Aires and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Buenos Aires.
Day 11

Buenos Aires

Time at leisure. Then transfer to Ezeiza International airport and flight to home country or extension programme to Iguazú.
