Day 01Buenos Aires |
Transfer from Ezeiza International Airport to the centre of town and check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, city tour of Buenos Aires. Visit to the historical centre of town at Plaza de Mayo, proceed to the old harbour with its colorful houses of La Boca, see the wide avenues, lush green parks and artificial lakes of Palermo and eventually visit the famous monumental cemetery of La Recoleta. Overnight at Buenos Aires. |
Day 02Buenos Aires |
Transfer to the domestic airport and flight to Trelew. The tour starts directly at the airport and goes southbound through the vast Patagonian steppe to the penguin reserve of Punta Tombo. Time at leisure for the observation of these interesting and unique animals. Then back, via Trelew, to the village of Puerto Madryn at the shore of the Golfo Nuevo. Overnight at Puerto Madryn. |
Day 03Puerto Madryn |
Full day excursion to the Península Valdés. Only a narrow strip of land connects this unique animal reserve with the continent. At Puerto Pirámides, there is a possibility to go for an optional boat voyage. Between June and December, whale watching tours are organized. Between January and March sea lions can be seen. Continuation to Punta Delgada, where huge sea elephant seals can be observed at the beach. In the late afternoon, back to Puerto Madryn. Overnight at Puerto Madryn. |
Day 04Puerto Madryn |
Transfer to the airport and flight to Ushuaia. Transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, transfer to the harbour. Enjoyable boat ride through the bay of Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel by Catamaran. The lighthouse island, the sea lion island and the bird island can be seen. The catamaran gets very close to the island in order to have a perfect observation of the animals. After the tour, time at leisure at Ushuaia or transfer back to your hotel. Overnight at Ushuaia. |

In the morning, visit to the Tierra del Fuego National park. This piece of land protects a vast variety of coastal fauna and flora. It is also a paradise for birds. During the tour there is a possibility to explore some tracks through the forest on foot. The park ends at Lapataia Bay which is also the end of the famous Pan-American Highway. The afternoon is at leisure. Overnight at Ushuaia. |

Transfer to the airport and flight to El Calafate. Transfer to town and check-in. Overnight at El Calafate. |
Day 07El Calafate |
One of the highlights of a trip to Patagonia certainly is the visit to the famous Perito Moreno glacier. It lies about 80km from El Calafate. First, there is a ride through typical Patagonian steppe till reaching the mountains. Here the climate frequently changes and there can be rain or even snow. Nevertheless, the experience of the glacier is the same. The deep blue colour is amazing. Big pieces of ice constantly fall into the lake and keep you eyes spellbound. Overnight at El Calafate. |
Day 08El Calafate |
The second big attraction of El Calafate is the big Upsala glacier. Ride to Punta Banderas by bus. From there the boat navigates for more than two hours over the north part of the Lago Argentino. Suddenly huge icebergs appear and you feel like in the Antarctic. The boat stops at a safe distance from the glacier, for observation. The tour continues to Bahia Onelli where it stops. There is time for lunch while, after a short walk, other glaciers can be observed. In the late afternoon the boat navigates back to Punta Banderas. Overnight at El Calafate. |

Transfer to the airport and flight to Buenos Aires. Transfer to the day. The rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy this beautiful and lively city. In the evening, there is an invitation to a tango show. Buenos Aires is the birthplace of this dance full of passion. Overnight at Buenos Aires. |
Day 10Buenos Aires |
In the morning, excursion to the Parana Delta Tigre. On the way to the river terminal the finest residential areas of Great Buenos Aires are crossed. At Tigre you board the boat to go through the channels. There are nice weekend houses and some typical vegetation to enjoy. Lunch is served at a beautiful Delta restaurant. Before your way back you will have time to relax or walk on its green park. Overnight at Buenos Aires. |
Day 11Buenos Aires |
Transfer to the airport and flight to Jujuy. This is the most northern province of Argentina and has a completely different atmosphere. Drive to the small town of Purmamarca. Here you will find a strong Indian influence. Purmamarca lies at the foot of the "mountain of the seven colours" which is a well-known attraction. Overnight at Purmamarca. |

Morning walk through town. Purmamarca is famous for its Indian market. Ride to Tilcara where an archaeological site is visited. Continuation of the day trip through the colorful canyon of Humahuaca, stopping at different villages on the way. Lunch is at the colonial town of Humahuaca. In the late afternoon, drive back to the day. Overnight at Purmamarca. |
Day 13Purmamarca |
The trip starts on a spectacular Andean road called Cuesta de Lipan. Enjoy the great view from the top of the pass. Soon after, one of the largest salt-lakes in Argentina can be reached. The mountain peaks stand in strong contrast with the white salt. At lunchtime, the small town of San Antonio de los Cobres is reached. Visit to the famous rail-viaduct of the Train to the Clouds. Then there is another beautiful gorge to the province capital, Salta. Overnight at Salta. |
Day 14Salta |
Salta is considered the most beautiful city in Argentina. The main square, awe-inspiring churches and some very interesting colonial architecture will be appreciated during the morning city walk. The afternoon is at leisure. Overnight at Salta. |
Day 15Salta |
Transfer to the airport and flight via Buenos Aires to Iguazú. Transfer to the day. The rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the swimming pool. Overnight at Puerto Iguazú. |
Day 16Iguazú |
A visit to the spectacular waterfalls of Iguazú. On the Argentine side you will find many small tracks through the forest. Unexpected views to the big waters are appreciated all the time. There is also a pathway to the highest individual fall, the Devil’s Gorge. Overnight at Puerto Iguazú. |
Day 17Iguazú |
In the morning, visit to the Brazilian side of the falls. Here there is a vast overview of the huge falls. A path leads to the bottom of the falls. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and afternoon flight to Buenos Aires. Transfer to the day. In the evening, farewell dinner at a really nice local restaurant. Overnight at Buenos Aires. |

Time at leisure. Transfer to Ezeiza International airport and flight to your home country or continuation of your own programme. |
