Day 01 |
Transfer from the airport to the hotel. Afternoon boat ride by catamaran through the bay of Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel. You will see the lighthouse island, the sea lion island and the bird island. The catamaran can get very close to the shores for a perfect observation of the animals. Back in Ushuaia, time at leisure to explore the city centre. There are optional visits to the museums where the history of Ushuaia is shown. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at Ushuaia. |
Day 02 |
Morning visit of the Tierra del Fuego National park. This piece of land protects a vast variety of coastal fauna and flora. It is also a paradise for birds. During the tour you have the possibility to explore some tracks through the forest on foot. The park ends at Lapataia Bay which is also the end of the famous Pan-American Highway. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Ushuaia. |
Day 03 |
Leave Ushuaia by passing the Mount Olivia and crossing the Carajal valley to Tierra Mayor. The way continues through marvelous vegetation and eventually gets to the shore of the Beagle Channel. The estancia Harberton is the oldest ranch of Tierra del Fuego and belongs to the descendants of Thomas Bridges, one of the first British missionaries reaching the area. The main building is conserved in the original style. There is a possibility to walk around the estancia and learn about the present and the past. After lunch, ride back to the city. Overnight at Ushuaia. |

Transfer to the airport to continue with your individual programme. |
